Just make sure you set the option to use "per game profile" before you start fiddling otherwise you'll find you've been changing "master settings" that are steam deck-wide changes (nothing permanent if you mistakenly do that, you can always just deactivate all those limits, etc.)
Sadly I don't have a solution yet. I’ve had similar issues with Origin games. The trick I found is to make sure Origin is not running at all. Completely exit the program. Then launch Steam in Big Picture mode, and finally launch the game via Steam. You’ll want to have it added as a non-Steam game prior to this.

Check the performance settings on the overlay. Ensure half-rate shading is disabled, try to turn off anti-aliasing, check different settings for the upscaling (FSR, etc.).
There isn't any difference between the two because Steam launches Origin which launches Jedi Fallen Order. The only issue can be that when its launched through Steam, you can't change the Origin options for Jedi Fallen Order like disabling the Origin overlay. So to do that you should manually launch Origin. Personally I prefer buying games on

i have this same issue and tried this same thing, the game said "download origin" Nice job ea . EDIT: tried the family share thing and it didnt work. when launching the game, origin seems to reload, and then it says im in game, but steam says the game needs to be launched and nothing loads
